Medical and Sports Massage

Medical + Sports Massage can be self-referred or is ordered by a physician for the treatment of a specific area of the body. This type of massage is not your typical relaxing, full-body Swedish massage, but targets 1-3 areas of the body at a time. For example: neck and shoulders.

This type of massage is an application of various soft tissue and manual therapy techniques designed for soft tissue injuries. This may include massage therapy, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue, and other modalities. Clinical tissue therapy can be effective in treating many conditions, such as: low back pain, whiplash, myofascial pain, sprains, strains, sciatica, post injury or surgical rehabilitation, tendonitis, and other tendon injuries, repetitive strain injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, edema and other ailments. The goal of sports massage is to decrease pain, improve range of motion, and restore normal function to the soft tissues of the body.

Massage Add-On: during your medical massage laser light therapy can be added for additional pain relief. For insurance billing, this needs to be approved by your healthcare provider who is approving medical massage as part of your care.

We accept insurance or time of service payment.
